Nicole Elzenga, Vice Chair

Nicole Elzenga is the Executive Director of the Renville County Historical Society in Morton. Elected to the board in April 2018, this is her second time serving on the board (2002-2007).
Born in Cortland, NY, Nicole came to Minnesota in 1989, where she graduated from high school. She met her husband while they both worked for Schwan’s. After spending some time in the Burnsville/Shakopee area, their family moved back to Westbrook for their son to begin school there. With her son and daughter both in school, Nicole started working as the Collections Manager at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum.
As an empty-nester, Nicole enjoys golfing and travelling with her husband. A strong community supporter, she serves on the boards of the Morton Area Chamber & Tourism, West Central Minnesota Historical Association, Tatanka Bluffs Corridor, Wood Lake Battlefield Preservation Association, Minnesota River Valley National Scenic Byways, River Valley Arts Center, Yellowstone Trail Alliance, Redwood Area Toastmasters, and the RSVP Advisory Council.
