Holly Johnson, Treasurer

Holly Johnson comes to MALHM through an atypical journey within the museum field. With a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management from Purdue University, she is well versed in customer service and event planning. Her entrance into the world of historical preservation began in 2012 when she assumed the Executive Director position at the Hormel Historic Home in Austin, MN. Through immersion in the lives of the George A. Hormel family documents and artifacts, Holly’s passion for sharing the stories of those from the past was been awakened. She has gained much from her museum industry peers and values what an association such as MALHM can do for individuals and organizations.
Holly considers herself a Midwestern person having been raised in Kansas and then living in Indiana, Chicago, and Minneapolis. She is married to a South Dakota native and has two teen aged sons who think the house she works in is haunted…
