At its Annual Meeting in April, the MALHM Board of Directors bid farewell to President Dean Vikan and Vice President Dean Hayes, who both retired from the board after serving three terms. Dustin Heckman (Executive Director of Goodhue County Historical Society) will now lead the Board as President, assisted by new Vice President Sara Markoe Hanson (Executive Director of White Bear Lake Historical Society). Treasurer Jill Wohnoutka (Executive Director of Kandiyohi Historical Society) and Secretary Alyssa Auten (Executive Director of Nicollet County Historical Society) will continue in their roles.

The Board also welcome two new members, Tamara Edevold (Executive Director of the Clearwater County Historical Society) and Milissa Brooks Ojibway (Curator with Glensheen) to the Board.

MALHM has selected Chase on the Lake in Walker, MN, as the site of its 2017 Annual Meeting and Conference, set for Wednesday, April 26 and Thursday, April 28.

The historic resort on Leech Lake offers both hotel and conference rooms. Look for information in Fall 2016 regarding booking rooms at the MALHM discounted rate.
