Conference Scholarships 2027

For the second year, the Minnesota Alliance of Local History Museums will offer scholarships to its Annual Meeting & Conference! The goal of the MALHM conference scholarship program is to increase accessibility & diversify attendance to the annual conference, and to reinvest in building skills and knowledge among the Minnesota local history community.

The submission deadline is Friday, December 18th.

Three Scholarships Available for 2027

• 2 First Time Attendee

• 1 All-Volunteer Organization

Scholarships include: 

• Conference registration & all included events, sessions, and meals (Tuesday, April 13 – Thursday, April 15, 2027)

• $300 travel/lodging stipend

Eligibility

Both​

• Demonstrated financial need

• MALHM board members, scholarship reviewers, and their immediate family are ineligible

​

First Time Attendee

• Must not have previously attended the conference

 

All-Volunteer Organization

• Must primarily be affiliated with an all volunteer-run organization

​Requirements

• Must be an individual MALHM member or work/be primarily affiliated with a MALHM organizational member

• Attend main days of conference. Preconference day (Tuesday, April 13th) is included in the scholarships, but optional

• Must volunteer for at least two shifts during the conference (approx. 2-3 work hours total)

• Must submit a brief written experience & photo(s) for publication and promotion​
