Join the MALHM Mutual Assistance Team for an emergency response workshop on Monday, September 14th at Glensheen!

Schedule

10am-12pm       Wet Salvage Presentation & Training

Presentation & hands-on demonstrations, focusing on how to safely remove documents, photographs, and artifacts from water and proper techniques to dry them. Get your hands wet practicing!    

​

​12pm-1pm          Lunch & Discussion

Network with colleagues & bring your ideas for future trainings, resources, etc.

​

1pm-1:45pm      Presentation - Mold & Choosing PPE

Megan Brakob Narvey, Outreach Conservator with the Minnesota Historical Society, will join us to discuss mold & collections— how to identify mold on historic items, what to do about it, and how to protect yourself with personal protective equipment (PPE). 

​

2pm-3pm            Glensheen Tour

Enjoy a tour from Glensheen Collections Manager Milissa Brooks-Ojibway!

Additional Details

Supplies, lunch, and snacks are included in the registration cost.

 

Full descriptions of the lunch options include: 

1. Ham & Swiss Baguette - ham, Swiss cheese, lettuce, and tomato on French bread

2. Roasted Turkey Sandwich - turkey breast, bacon, lettuce, and tomato on cranberry wild rice bread

3. Veggie Wrap - fresh veggies wrapped in a flour tortilla with lettuce, cheese, tomato, and hummus
